There is a new artist/ pianist out there that is fabulous! His name is Josh Wright and I totally feel in love with his music, especially when I got his CD in the mail and my all time favorite classical song was on there! And I have to say, no one plays Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini like this guy. I have always been a sucker for good piano music ever since I was a kid. My dad shared his love with me of classical music, and I branched off falling in love with good soundtracks from some of my favorite movies. I mean who doesn't love the music of Braveheart or theme songs by John Williams like Indiana Jones, Superman, or Star Wars!?
Anyway, I feel in love with the piano when I heard that little flying feather number on Forest Gump. And I loved Josh Wright the minute I saw this:
Talk about talent!! Can you believe he is only 22 years old! I have his CD on my MP3 player and can't get enough. Even my husband loves his music... and that's saying something.
Here is a little about Josh Wright from his publicist:
Concert pianist Josh Wright boldly displayed his talent by performing one of the hardest pieces ever written on two grand pianos. “La Campanella”, composed by Franz Liszt considered one of the hardest pieces play, just wasn’t hard enough for Wright. This video shows him flowing between two grand pianos as the melody grows faster and more intense.
Alright, then! Now one of you lucky readers has a chance to win his new CD that just came out a few days ago! Here's what you have to do:
