The Longest Weekend

I know many people who would draw this post out. Not me. I had to live it. I won't make you read it. All I have to say is 3 things.

1. Friday: Sammy took a black Sharpie to my kitchen floor.

2. Saturday: Sammy flooded the bathroom by taking a cup and bailing out the water of the bathtub. Took me over an hour to clean up.

3. Sunday: Sammy made it "snow" in our living room with a big bottle of baby powder. STILL cleaning this one up.

Now I need to go take a nap. Have a great Monday!

Ooooh! Did you take pictures of the Sharpie marker mess? Did a Magic Eraser take it off? At least it wasn't a blue pastel... or was it worse?

Aren't you glad it's Monday and Sammy can go to school!?

I was too mad to take a picture! And Magic Eraser wouldn't take it off alone. My neighbor and I used a combo of 3 products to get it off!

Oh hell, lass. I remember the 'beach' the kids made in the kitchen...black slate tiled floor with grooves are really really difficult to clean, especially wheat and milk which hardens like cement...I feel your pain. x

Inspired kids don't always equal inspired mums- more like tired mums! We have cubby houses all over our place at the moment.

Yes...the joys of motherhood. My son took the scissors to the brand new comforter once, put my keys in the oven (something I would have liked to have known before preheating @ 425), and filled grandpa's lawn mower gas tank with dirt and grass. Let's not have my son and your son do any play dates there may be a minor explosion!!

Wow, mine has done all that, I just don't think he has done it all in 3 days, I know though that he usually does 2 or 3 super bad things in one day--while I am cleaning up the first he is doing the next you know.

We have just gotten accustome to a flooded bathroom, the worst though was when we were outside gardening and he ran in to use the bathroom, about an hour later I came in exhausted and wondered why I could hear water--yeah, he plugged the sink and left it running, the hallway was super flooded--all I can say is I am happy I don't own this house.

Just breathe and remember prays and patience (just don't pray for patience) and it will get better

A friend called me yesterday to say that her toddler had just taken a felt tip pen to the walls of her newly painted bedroom - Maybe she didn't like the colour!

Oh, Cat, I'm so sorry! Sounds like Mama needs a vacation by herself on some tropical island very soon! xoxo

Next time you have a permanent marker accident, try using a dry erase marker and color over the top and then wipe off. Just don't use on painted surfaces.

Damn Sharpies! My four year took a red Sharpies to the microsuede rocking chair in his room. Does magic eraser get that out??? I just bought one!
