My First Product Review with a Giveaway!

Surprise! I have been keeping this little secret for a few days now, and I can't take it any longer because I am just too excited! Last week I got an email from Jennifer over at http://www.jumpstart.com/ about their new online game, JumpStart 3D Virtual World, for children 3-10 years old. I don't know about you, but we have been buying JumpStart programs for Sam since he was 18 months old. That was when we discovered his gift for mathematics. Kid can't talk, but at 22 months he could add and subtract two digit numbers -- go figure.

So I got this email from Jennifer, wondering if I would be interested in reviewing the game with Sammy. In return she gave me a membership (temporary I think) and told me I could give away a free three month membership (worth $23.97) to one of my readers!! YAY!

So on we logged, and we played. Sammy got bossy and wouldn't let me try anything. How rude is that! He loved moving the character around and picking up stuff. There is one area where your guy has a jet pack and he flies around and does math or reading stuff. It was hard to get Sam to leave this area. He just really loved it! I waited until his bed time, and then I took over. It was way fun, even for a mom. It teaches all sorts of stuff like math, reading, there are coloring pages, and you can even create your own character and build them a house. There is adventure, all the while teaching kids reading and math skills at the level that you set.
(Sammy engaged. No, that is not my pig-sty of a computer desk! How could you think that!? Okay, yeah it's mine... I am so ashamed...)
When you first go to http://www.jumpstart.com/, there are many features displayed for parents. Not just resources, but there is also a parent blog that is awesome! Also a link to "Fun for Parents" too. I LOVE this! I think it is awesome there are places for us big people to check out and get tips and support from others like us. All around a great experience for me and my Sam. I am a big fan of computer learning programs for my kids. Sammy is VERY visual, and he can learn better sometimes from the computer then from me. He UNDERSTANDS it so well. If I had four arms I would give this site 4 thumbs up... but I will just have to settle for two.

The only problem I found was with Sam. There are a lot of games that require the use of the arrow keys -- Sammy just couldn't grasp that. He is a mouse boy. Other then that, I have really enjoyed myself over there and I KNOW Sammy has too.

Here are a few screen shots of the game:
Are you excited yet?
I LOVED the coloring pages! You can actually use a paint sprayer -- too cool! I can't really give this site justice in my poor description, you really have to check it out for yourselves.

So do you want to know how you can win this 3 month membership to Jumpstart 3D Virtual World?

What a fun giveaway! I just checked out their site and had fun dressing the character and changing the hair to look like my son. He's at school right now, but I'm excited for him to come home and try it out. I like that the site allows you to try out some of the games for free before you a purchase a membership.

Wow, great giveaway! My family LOVES Jump Start games, we've got quite a collection of offline ones that my boys play often.

Silly me, I didn't even think to look up their site! I'm excited about this Virtual World, my boys have several games in this category that they like, but none are specifically educational...this would be great for us! I had to make sure they weren't peeking over my shoulder when I checked it out...I'd never get anything done today!

I thought this game looked really fun. Right up my 6 year old's alley. I'm already a follower, but I did go look around and try it out. So count me in!

This is such a great giveaway! My son is addicted to the Sesame Street online learning games, but I think this would blow his mind!!! I love that there's such a wide array of learning activities...especially with my son getting ready to start preschool in the Fall!

I just got a monthly membership for my 4 yr old daughter a few hours ago. She loved the trial

and was ready for more. With how she took to it and wanted to play it consecutive days w/o me even asking her, I think it was a good decision for very little money.

Ariana and Emmalee's eyes both lit up when I loaded the trial. I couldn't beleive it. Emmalee was so eager to go on the slide that they have in story land. This is such a fun game. Thanks for giving up the website.

I want to enter the giveaway and I am already a follower! We have been playing jump start games for 11 years now so I know this is something we would like. The only problem for me would be having more competition for the computer with my kids. My older kids would love the virtual world and my 2 year old would love the preschool games (yes my 2 year old is already playing games on the computer).
